The fastest growing of the Spruces. When you are looking for a fast growing windbreak, screening, or privacy tree the Norway Spruce is always a top consideration. It is an easily transplanted conifer, and retains its bottom branches as it grows taller (unlike many other windbreak trees).
We carry 4 or 5 year old transplants. Get a jump start on your plantings with these older & larger transplants. The Norway Spruce exhibits rapid growth while young - slowing down as it ages.
If you have heavier soil (clay) or the area you intend to plant is a little wetter, consider the White Spruce as a possible alternative. They do better in those conditions than the Norways.
If you are interested in putting up a screen utilizing the Norway Spruce, recommended spacing is either 14 or 16' with two rows staggered (so 7-8' line of sight). Many people do one row of Norways and then another row of something like Hybrid Poplar or Hybrid Willow for extra fast growth starting out. If this is something you are interested in just let us know. This is one of the more common questions we get.

âđïļ Minimum order size is 20 items total. This allows us to keep our prices as reasonable as possible. We relax these minimums for blueberry/raspberry orders.
âđïļ Minimum quantity per variety is 10 for trees/bushes.
âđïļ We sell trees for Spring only. We do not do any fall sales at this time.
âđïļ We communicate A+. You won't be surprised by anything. Check out our reviews on Google and Facebook - we've been doing this a long time.
âđïļ Tree Pickup is just south of Marshfield, WI (or you can have your order shipped). We will be open every single day from 3-27-25 to 5-18-25 - so no problems finding a pickup date/time that works for you.
âđïļ We offer next-day shipping anywhere within the States of WI, IA, IL, MN, SD, ND, or NE for an additional charge. All orders will include a estimated shipping amount so you can make your choice then. But figure 15-20% of your order total.
âđïļ Additional Discounts apply for orders that total 100 trees or more (regardless of whether they are all the same variety or not). Different discount levels are 100, 200, 400, and 800 trees total. See the catalog or request a quote from us for details.
âđïļ We are easy to work with - if you don't know your whole order for Spring feel free to put in what you know. You are free to modify your order all you like. Some people do it many different times through-out the fall and winter - doesn't bother us at all. Only takes a second to change the order and resend the confirmation.
