My feeders will eat up to 35% of their feed ration off the land.
And if raied in a smaller padock situation they eat less pig grower feed and will finish at a 250lb in 7 to 8 months. My boars, sows/gilts are raised on the land, farrow on the land to make one hardy disease resistant feeder.
Im growing my Farrowing program and looking for dedicated pork producers who appreciate well marbelled, better tasting pork and a pig that is laid back and manageable.
My feeders thrive in Pasture or the Woods or composting bed system. They graze like cows and love their bellies scratched.
All piglets are exposed to Electric Fence. These pigs are as winter hardy as they are summer heat tolerant. Our feeders do very well in the winter with a feed ration and hay. They also do not need expensive housing. Some simple A frame huts, old livestock trailer or a few old round bales of hay and they will make their own shelter.
Sustainable Stewards Farmstead & Goat Grazing will be having 2026summer and early fall litters and 2027 spring litters. Piglets are weaned at about 7 weeks ans sold at 30 to 40 pounds a week later.
All piglets are De-wormed and Castrated. We do offer transport for larger orders over 10 with a 1.50$ per mile round trip rate.
