Exceptional display plate purchased in 1990 at an estate auction. Have done some research, but all I could locate about this plate, is that it is one of a series of four, by artist John Morgan for Wedgewood. The inscription on the back states they are from the 'Shirley Sherwood Collection'. Name/Title is 'Sizing Up'. I cannot find even one other of this series! Had contacted Wedgewood directly many years ago, and even they could give no other information.

I LOVE this display plate, but it has been packed, opened, repacked so many times, over several moves. It is time to pass it on since I am cleaning out my storage. What is not used, is going. Unfortunately for me, this one will be listed.

Wonderful, bright colors, detailed to perfection, a Hummingbird over flowers and foliage. It has some weight, the glaze is perfect with NO crazing, rimmed in gold. It measures a nice 12". Display mount for wall hanging is included.

Am just west of Red Granite, south on Cty Rd Z off of Hwy 21. Cash only please. Price is firm.
